5. Excuse, Explanation (1)

1) Let me explain my actions.
　 请听我解释。（让我自己解释我的行为。）

2) Will the court acquit him of the crime?
　 法庭会宣判他无罪释放吗？
　 *to acquit = to declare (a person) not guilty (of something)
　 通常因证据不足而被判决无罪释放。

3) In his defense, he still tried to justify himself.
　 为了保护自己，他一直试图证明自己（的行为）是正当的。

4) I can only try to justify what I did.
　 我唯有坚持自己所做的事是正确的。

5) He is absolved of all blame.
　 他从各种的非难中获得解脱。
　 *to absolved = to free from guilt, a duty, etc.
　 从不履行责任或义务之罪中获得解脱。近乎 acquit 之意。

6) There has been a great mistake.
　 发生重大的错误了。
